Another month has flown by at Brixton Warehouse, and honestly, we’ve barely had time to catch our breath! The summer party season is in full swing, with everything from lively birthday bashes to stylish brand launches lighting up our space.

Behind the Scenes Magic

One recent highlight that has us all buzzing? An exciting casting for a certain celebrity’s mum, who just happens to be in town. Here’s a clue: “Don’t put your daughter on the stage...” Yes — Mrs. Carter herself. Watch this space!

We’ve been shooting like absolute mad, with a whirlwind of projects keeping us on our toes: drinks brand launches, an adorable doggy day (seriously cute), babywear campaigns that made our hearts melt, fabulous fashion shoots, a wellness-led juice launch, and even an AI start-up unveiling their business to the world.

Wellbeing remains at the core of everything we do. Our regular yoga sessions continue to be a hit, run by our very own Sam (@yogasouthlondon), and we’ve recently welcomed new Pilates workshops to the space. We’ve also hosted friends from the film industry for casting sessions and make-up testing days – always love having the creative community come together.

Even dating made an appearance this month, with a fun and fast-paced supper club speed dating event. And to slow things back down? Our calm and creatively charged life drawing classes are still going strong (@warehouselifedrawing), offering that perfect creative zen moment.

Music: Our First Love

Music, of course, is our first love, and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of welcoming some amazing emerging artists to debut their latest tracks right here in our space. Oh, and we can’t forget our own video for Jacob, shot at the warehouse by Morgan Prime!

Where Brixton Comes to Party

Inside our exciting event space, no two nights are ever the same.

Troy Hudson, A&R for GB Records London, threw the most incredible surprise party for her auntie at Brixton Warehouse. Berries & Balloons & Beyond – our go-to luxury event decor team – beautifully styled the event and created the most amazing balloon arch. Want to see how they did it? Check out @brixtonwarehouse for the behind-the-scenes magic.

It was Rhainna’s 30th party, and she had a ball! A gorgeous private dinner party followed by a brilliant DJ set and lots of dancing into the night.

We also held the first Tisse’s Room mini-house party – an intimate night designed for women. DJs, dancing, incredible vibes and tonnes of fun. If you fancy coming down to the next one, keep your eyes peeled for dates from @nava_london and @dj.fim.events.

Camera, Lights, Action…

Airtaudio shot their amazing sculptural range of speakers at the studio, and they looked magnificent against our hireable black backdrop.

Make the Music Happen

The SLS Music event at the warehouse was another great success story. The evening kicked off with amazing food, followed by an open mic session and live performances that had everyone captivated. There was also a brilliant Q&A by @angelsilver about vocal health, both essential and incredibly informative for our community of musicians. The content was captured by @capturedbycatch. We caught an acoustic performance by @danielrock.

Business as Usual

James Kuht MBE, CEO of PAIR — pairing human expertise with AI capability — spent time at Brixton Warehouse creating content with his team. They made full use of our authentic brick backdrop for video and stills — another very successful day.

Wellbeing at the Heart

Pilates, Pours & Paints – a workshop of mat work, painting, and bottomless beverages (after the exercise!) — all accompanied by some fantastic tunes: Afrobeat, reggaeton, Amapiano, and dancehall. Hosted by @racelgreenmoves.

@pilatesbyharriet held a Sunday workshop and brunch. It was a full, hungry house, and the delicious food by @turnerandkidd was truly appreciated.

Our own Sunday morning yoga classes, taught by our founder Sam, continue on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings. See @yogasouth for details.

Casting Call Spotlight

We had a wonderfully talented group of young girls attending a casting organised by Cocoa Girl Magazine – the UK’s first Black children’s magazine.

CEO Serlina Boyd headed up a panel of serious VIPs to judge the extremely talented young people who turned up for the chance of being this year’s Cocoa Girl of the Year. Dancers, singers, rappers, breakdancers, and poets all took part in this exciting event.

And here’s where it gets interesting – there’s a rumour that a performance might be arranged for a certain Miss Carter’s mother. Watch this space…

Yes, Christmas is Coming!

Bookings have already begun flowing in, and the festive season will carry us right through to December. If you’d like to host a Christmas shoot, party, or pop-up, now’s absolutely the time to get in touch. Let’s make it one to remember.
